The Legacy of Bihari Kabab

Bihari Kabab originates from the historic region of Bihar, India, where royal Mughal kitchens perfected the art of grilling thinly sliced, spice-marinated beef over open flames. Known for its bold flavors and melt-in-your-mouth texture, this dish became a staple in South Asian cuisine, celebrated for its smoky aroma and rich, spiced marinade.

With Anmol’s Bihari Kabab Marinade, you can now experience the authentic flavors of Bihar in just a few simple steps.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef strips, sliced very thin 1/16” x .75” x 4” ( Sirloin or Flank is Preferred, Chucktender would also work)
  • 8 tbsp (4 oz) Anmol Bihari Kabab Marinade
  • Bamboo skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Method

Step 1: Marinate the Beef

  1. In a bowl, coat the beef strips generously with Anmol Bihari Kabab Marinade.
  2. Using both hands rub the marinade into the beef to ensure all parts are fully marinated.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for 12-24 hours (overnight for best results!).

Step 2: Skewer the Meat

Thread the beef strips onto soaked bamboo skewers in a zig-zag pattern for even cooking.

Step 3: Choose Your Cooking Method

🔥 Grill (Best for Authentic Flavor)

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (350°F).
  2. Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  3. Grill skewers for 2-3 minutes per side, flipping frequently for an even char until cooked

⏲ Oven (Easy & Even Cooking)

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Arrange skewers on a wire rack over a baking tray.
  3. Roast for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. Broil for 2-3 minutes at the end for extra char.

⚡ Pan Searing (Quick & Juicy Kababs)

  1. Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add a little oil and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until fully cooked.

Step 4: Rest & Serve

  1. Remove from heat and let the kababs rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  2. Ready to enjoy!
